Lewiston

Lewiston is the site of Idaho's first capital, which was later moved to Boise and is the only seaport in Idaho. Enjoy walking, jogging or biking on the 22 miles of trails along the confluence of the Clearwater and Snake rivers. Lewiston is the gateway to the Hell's Canyon Recreation area providing a variety of recreational activities including hunting, fishing, jet boating, whitewater rafting, sandy beaches for swimming and water skiing. Referred to as the "Banana Belt" due to the mile winter temperatures, golf courses are normally open year-round. During the holiday season the valley is lit with elaborate lighting displays.
